Total internet security?

Ok, so I have downloaded and installed AVG 7.5 (free): for anti-virus, zone alarm (free): for firewall and Ad-Aware (free): for anti-spyware. Is there anything else that I need to make sure that my computer is protected from the swines out there? haha!

you should be good to go. you may want to supplement your adaware with superantispyware (free version) and run your virus and adware scans in safe mode every once in a while to be on the safer side. you could also run a free web based symantec virus scan on occasion found here... http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/defau...

(this may have to be done using internet explorer)

also... you should be using firefox for your browser rather than ie. it's much safer.

hope this helps.

As a registered beta tester I would recommend that you remove AVG 7.5 as it is pure junk. Also remove Ad-Aware 2007 and install the prior version. The new version is junk and the prior version is excellent.

Another free excellent program from Avira Germany free for home personal use.

If you want free antivirus, here is an excellent free

Avast, free home for personal use: http://www.avast.com Avast will send you the free key good for one year then you must request a new key. Has an excellent background scanner that works in real time, plus on the hour auto. Updates.
